Fort Mill Bathroom Remodel: More Shower Space, Built With Schluter Waterproofing

This Fort Mill homeowner’s shower had more than a tile problem: it was leaking because it lacked waterproofing. TRC Home Improvement Services replaced the poorly installed tiled shower and built the new one with Schluter waterproofing—the system we use on every shower we build.

Before

We also made the layout work harder. By changing the angle of the freestanding tub, we gained room to make the shower slightly longer. Removing the boxed feature beside the tub opened up that area.

The renovation included:

• A new custom-tiled shower with Schluter waterproofing.

• Waterproof LVP flooring in place of the old floor tile.

• A new vanity and sink top.

The result: a larger shower, an updated bathroom and waterproofing behind the new tile—not just a cosmetic refresh.
